DELF & DALF – Diplomas in French Language Studies

The DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education, administered by France Éducation International.

These lifelong diplomas assess all four language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Available at every level of the CEFR (A1 to B2 for DELF; C1 to C2 for DALF), they are accepted for French university applications and professional qualifications worldwide and represent a powerful asset, no matter your goal.

Versions for children and teens — DELF Prim and DELF Junior — offer age-appropriate topics and format.

Our teachers are official accredited examiners for the DELF/ DALF.

DELF Prim & DELF Junior – for Young Learners

The DELF Prim and DELF Junior are specifically designed for school-aged children and teenagers, with topics and materials adapted to their age and interests. These exams offer the same official recognition and lifelong validity as the standard DELF, providing a motivating way for young learners to develop and certify their French skills with confidence.

DELF Prim (ages 8-11) is an official diploma awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the proficiency in French as a Foreign Language of children ages 8 to 11.

DELF Junior (ages 12-17) is a specially adapted version for juniors/teenagers of the DELF diplomas.

TCF & TEF - FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSES

The TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is a standardized French language test required for certain immigration or university applications. Several formats exist, including TCF Canada, TCF Québec, and TCF IRN for French citizenship or residency. It provides an official snapshot of your current level of proficiency.
The TEF (Test d’Évaluation de Français) is also widely used for official procedures, especially immigration to Canada and Québec or naturalization in France. Like the TCF, it is standardized and internationally recognized by governments, academic institutions, and employers.

Unlike the DELF/DALF, both TCF & TEF are valid for 2 years.
