FRENCH SUMMER FUN!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

 For kids from 6 to 10 years old:

  • Anglophones who want to learn French or already have a prior experience with French

  • Francophones who speak and understand French and want to exercise and master their French as a daily basis

During this program our team of French Native teachers will encourage kids to use and practice French through our conversation and play-based pedagogy. Kids will learn basic vocabulary linked with our weekly theme, and basic sentences for everyday life at and outside of camp.

TYPICAL MORNING:

9:00-9:10am: Check-in and free play

9:15am: Yoga

9:35am: French Class Games

10:35am: Snack & Outdoor activities

11:15am: Crafts / Games

11:45am: Songs

11:55am-12:00pm: Dismissal

ACTIVITIES AND THEMES:

Mornings at the camp will be primarily focused on language skills through our weekly themes. We will work on three themes, one per week for three weeks.

This years’ themes will be:

1.      Week 1 - July 8 to 12: Animals (Les Animaux)

2.      Week 2 - July 15 to 19: Feelings and Emotions (Les Sentiments et les Emotions)

3.      Week 3 - July 22 to 26: At the beach (A la Plage)

Activities are designed to give the children multiple ways to express their creativity while having fun. It’s summertime, our teachers will adapt to every individual rhythm and make sure everyone enjoys their camp activities.

 
 

DROP OFF AND PICK-UP:

Each camp will be mornings only, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Check in will be held between 9:00am and 9:15am each morning.
Sign out is between 11:55 am and 12:00 pm. You must pick up your child by 12 pm*.

*A late pick-up fee of $30 will be applied after 12.05pm.

IMPORTANT:

We will NOT release your child to anyone (even the parent of another child) who is NOT on your authorized pick-up list or for whom we have not receive a written confirmation

Any adult will need to show photo ID to pick up a child before signing the document.

Every child MUST be signed IN AND OUT by an adult from the authorized pick-up list with the teacher.

SNACKS:

Parents or guardians need to bring snacks and a water bottle for their kids.

Please let us know in advance if your child has food allergies!

POLICIES

Refund Policy:

No refund will be issued after July 1st, a $50 cancelation fee will be deducted from the refund amount. The membership fee is non-refundable. After July 1st, you may withdraw any time before the start of the session for a credit minus the cancelation fee. No withdrawals are accepted after the start of a session.

There are no allowances for absences, early withdrawals, or late starts, There is no pro-rating of fees.

Absence Policy:

There are no make-ups for absences. We must be notified if a child will be absent. By email: events@aforange.org.

PRIVATE CLASSES FOR KIDS / TEENS

We use specific French textbooks, CDs and other fun materials such as activity books and games to develop oral skills, memorize conjugation and gain a better vocabulary. Our teachers will create an enjoyable atmosphere and adapt lessons to each child. The Alliance Française provides tutoring classes to children upon request, contact us.
