His name is familiar to us as a unit of pressure however the interests of Blaise Pascal were not limited to physics. Contemporary of Rene Descartes, brilliant mathematician, inventor of the first calculator, prolific writer, philosopher and author of the famous “Pascal wager” was born 400 years ago but remains inspiring today.
